The car has matching numbers, and has been fully and painstakingly restored to a European specification, this Volante originally being built for the US market, where the Aston Martin spent most of the life and covered just 25,000-miles, before returning to the country of its build in 2016.
ASTON MARTIN V8 VOLANTE 1980
This immaculate, low-mileage V8 Volante’s comprehensive restoration has included a meticulous repaint in Aston Martin’s Imperial Blue coachwork colour. It has also undergone a full mechanical rebuild and interior re-trim in the car’s magnolia hide, as it left the Newport Pagnell factory in 1980.
This stunning Volante uses Aston Martin’s own in-house Tadek Marek-designed 5.3-litre V8 motor, in its 580-engine specification, developing around 300 bhp. The car benefits from its ‘Oscar India’ specification, including the correct and distinctive ‘Series 4; bonnet with a larger power bulge, plus stylish cross-spoke alloy wheels and additional driving lamps.
